Welcome to your Jewish Prague experience, welcome to Precious Legacy Tours!

Thank you for visiting the Precious Legacy Tours website. Situated in the World Famous Jewish Quarter in Prague, Czech Republic, we are dedicated to helping you make your stay in our unique historical city both wonderful and unforgettable.

The Czech Republic boasts one of the largest and most significant collections of Judaica in the world. Prague is beautiful all year round! This extensive collection of items, preserved by the Prague Jewish Museum after Nazi confiscation during World War II, now serves to document Jewish life in the Czech region, one of the oldest continuous Jewish communities in Europe. These objects, then, also testify to the tragic and catastrophic dimension of European Jewish life, which culminated in the Holocaust.

There are currently 10 official Jewish communities in the Czech Republic, with approximately 3,000 registered members, 1,500 of whom reside in Prague.

It is estimated that there are another 10,000 to 15,000 unregistered Jews. There are also a wide variety of Jewish organizations thriving under the auspices of the Federation of Jewish Communities in the Czech Republic and the Jewish Community of Prague, including 3 kindergartens, primary and high schools, youth organizations, Social Care Facility for elderly, sports and special interest groups. Altogether, some 2,000 people are involved with these organizations.

The orthodox Old-New Synagogue, the High Synagogue, Jubilee Synagogue on Jeruzalemska Street are all functioning synagogues serving Prague. They also offer special holiday services. Bejt Praha, Open Prague Jewish Community, and Bejt Simcha, Prague Reform Jewish Community, host regular Kabbalat Shabbat services in the Jewish Town Hall. Chabad House hosts regular Shabbat services.

The Jewish Museum in Prague is home to one of the most extensive collections of Judaica in the world.
